Presentation of the Kalitka project was held at the MATKA exhibition

The international tourism exhibition MATKA, the largest tourist event in Northern Europe, has ended in Helsinki. More than 1000 exhibitors from 80 different countries of the world take part in the exhibition and more than 50,000 consumers and 20,000 specialists in the tourism industry visit it every year.

The project “Kalitka - development of cross-border gastronomic tourism” of the Karelia Cross-Border Cooperation Program of the European Neighborhood Instrument was presented at a separate workplace within the framework of the joint display of the Republic of Karelia. The international gastronomic route “The exquisite taste of Karelia” presented in booklets in Finnish, English and Russian as well as in video format attracted much attention of the exhibition visitors. The international route, combining 27 gastronomic tourism objects in the Republic of Karelia (Russia) and the North Karelia Province (Finland), was first developed and explored in the framework of the Kalitka project.

Each object on the gastronomic map has its own QR code, with which you can access the object’s home page via mobile phone and get more information about the dishes offered. Download the Kalitka application here play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=fi.karelia.cbc...
