Kantele-GO! concert in the Chuvash Republic

This December the Kantele-GO! artists went for a business trip to Cheboksary and gave two concerts - one in the framework of the Kantele Ensemble concerts schedule and one more Kantele-GO! concert for young people of the Cheboksary city.  Among those who came to listen to the Karelian kantele there were students of music schools and a local musical college. They play national musical instrument of the Chuvash Republic called "kesle" and were particularly interested in a related musical instrument. 

The Kantele-GO! artists performed traditional tunes and modern music compositions for kantele such as folk song "My Beloved" arranged by Vyacheslav Ivanov and Irina Shishkanova, "Inga" by Sergei Stangrit and "Bell Ringing"  by Irina Shishkanova. 

The concert program was presented to the audience by 
Anastasia Krasilnikova (kantele prima), laureate of international music competitions, the ensemble leader, 
Irina Shishkanova (kantele prima), Honored Artist of Russia, Honored Artist of the Republic of Karelia,
Aleksandr Ivanov (kantele alto), Honored Artist of the Republic of Karelia,
Aleksandra Sakharova (kantele alto), Honored Art Worker of the Republic of Karelia,
Elena Ankhimova (kantele prima), laureate of international music competitions,
Aleksandr Gorevanov (kantele basso).

Project  partners: The Karelian National Song and Dance Ensemble Kantele (Russia), University of Eastern Finland, Runosong Academy (Finland), National School of Arts named after V. Kalaberda of Pryazha District (Russia).
