Starting of the summer museum-educational program for young volunteers of Kurkijoki
The summer museum-educational program for young volunteers of Kurkijoki village began. On the basis of the Kurkijoki Local History Center gathered 18 young people who in first day got acquainted with each other and with the basics of volunteering.

- On the first day, we tried to work in a team, to feel the importance of trusting team members, to listen carefully to what tasks we are given. The most difficult was to overcome the "Pacific Ocean" with dangerous sharks. Classes on volunteering allowed to deal with the fact that it can give to everyone, - participants said at the end of the starting day.

On the remaining days, children are waited for classes on the development of volunteer skills, meetings with archaeologists, specialists of the National Museum of Karelia, and first-aid classes and the development of creativity. The program is implemented within the framework of the project InterActive History (KA3022) of the Karelia Crossborder Cooperation Program of the Foundation for the Creative industries and cultural tourism development fund.
