International Startup Week was held in Petrozavods

Start Up Week (Summer Business School) was held in Petrozavodsk from 11 to 13 June. The school brought together young entrepreneurs from Russia and Finland.

The participants of Start Up Week were 45 participants from Russia and Finland who had passed the preliminary competitive selection and were willing to develop international cooperation in the border areas.

Young people from Russia and Finland worked in international groups for several days. Each team developed a project in its own direction: ecotourism, international employment, introduction of innovations to cultural and art institutions, and others.

Within the summer school the participants received trainings on business planning and pitching from international experts from St. Petersburg and Finland. In addition, they listened to lectures on marketing, the latest tools for identifying and researching the target audience of the product, and spent more than 16 hours at work in project groups.

After the first presentations of projects, the participants received comments and practical advice from the expert jury, after which they had time to finalize their projects. The result of Start Up Week were 6 business ideas, successfully presented to the expert jury!

Start Up Week was held in the framework of CULTA projects - Development of effective forms of interaction between culture and business and BUSY - Business for young people.

Further project activities are scheduled for August 2019.
