Egotiations with partners within the framework of the Russian-Finnish project "New Horizons of Culture"

On August 25, 2021, negotiations were held with partners-pilot sites-within the framework of the Russian-Finnish project "New Horizons of Culture". The negotiations were conducted in a remote format.

The negotiations were organized by the project manager Elena Bogdanova, Vice-rector of the Karelian Institute for the Development of Education.

The heads and representatives of the pilot sites of the project "New Horizons of Culture" - GBOU RK "Boarding school No. 21" GBOU RK "Boarding School No. 23", GBOU RK "Boarding School No. 24"took part in the negotiations.

The results and prospects of international cooperation were discussed during the negotiations.

In accordance with the Joint Action Plan for the implementation of the project, the main goal of which is to increase the availability of additional education services in the field of culture and art for children and youth with special needs, the activities for the autumn of 2021 were adjusted.

The project includes activities in four main areas:

- conducting a monitoring study on the territory of the Republic of Karelia and Northern Finland;

- professional development of teachers and education of parents;

- development of additional general education programs for children and young people with special needs;

- creation and testing of inclusive cultural practices.

Cooperation is implemented through various forms of activity: trainings, conferences, seminars, competitions to support teachers and parents with children with special educational needs, the development of educational programs aimed at developing the creative abilities of children and youth with disabilities is carried out.

E. Bogdanova spoke about the peculiarities of the implementation of the project "New Horizons of Culture" within the framework of cooperation in the difficult conditions of the pandemic, drawing attention to the fact that some events were implemented in special formats. For example, trainings in May-June were held in full-time and remote mode.

At the online meeting, the directions of financing the services of pilot sites within the framework of the "New Horizons of Culture"project were also discussed.
