Kantele-GO! final concert in Pryazha

Kantele-GO! in Pryazha

On 17 December 2021 the Kantele-GO! project gave a final concert in Pryazha.

The Pryazha Arts School named after Vyacheslav Kalaberda is the Kantele-GO! project partner that deals with young kantele players and students of folk departments of art schools, one of the main target groups in the project. In the framework of the project the Pryazha Arts School and the project coordinators Larisa Prokopenkova, Julia Tolmacheva, Larisa Krasovskaya and Olga Kalinina, arranged two Kantele-GO! Youth Forums in Kostomuksha in 2020 and Olonets in 2021as well as the number of concerts with participation of young kantele and folk performers.    
 
The final concert in Pryazha presented performances by

  • Lia Ankhimkova, the class of Dmitry Mukhorin,
  • Polina Ilutkina and Viktor Barbashov, the class of Valentina Chernyakova,
  • folk ensemble “Runa” under the leadership of Dmitry Mukhorin with accompaniment by Valentina Chernyakova,
  • folk ensemble “Pilli” under the leadership of Julia Tolmacheva,
  • folk ensemble “Liruttis” under the leadership of Marina Lukina,
  • folk ensemble “"Veretentse / Little Spindle" under the leadership of Marina Zaitseva.


Students of the animation studio, equipped by the Kantele-GO! project and supervised by Olga Kalinina, presented an animated movie “Kantelenok” and videos “Winter Fairytale” and “Swan of Kalevala”.  

The representative of the Pryazha Municipality Oksana Gavrosh greeted the project participants and the project manager Olga Vlasova awarded the Pryazha Arts School with the Letter of Appreciation for contribution to development of the “Kantele-GO!” project. The Kantele-GO! project is grateful to all project participants in the Pryazha district who devoted themselves to children’s folklore education: Dmitry Mukhorin, Valentina Chernyakova, Marina Lukina, Marina Zaitseva, Natalia Zubareva, Olga Kalinina, Julia Tolmacheva, Larisa Krasovskaya and Larisa Prokopenkova.
