Project Coordinator Henna Karhapää presented Culture Open –project at the annual EloVeera-event for the elderly on August 2, 2019. In addition to informing the visitors about the project, Henna also told the crowd about upcoming project activities, such as the first artist exchange between Joensuu and Petrozavodsk on August 16, and the performance of the inclusive Culture Open Able Art Group during this year’s Night by the River –festival on August 23. Also on display were leaflets on how to test one’s home for accessibility.

In the afternoon, Henna led an Accessibility Walk around the event area. However, due to a downpour of rain, the rest of the walk was transferred indoors where the walkers could enjoy hot drinks and cinnamon rolls.
