Wasteless Karelias project study tour participants

On February 2–5, SUPER project representative from the Kizhi Museum, M. Teratcuiantc joined the study-tour to North Karelia (Finland), organized by partner-project «Wasteless Karelias». Among the participants, there were the representatives of villages’ administrations, the regional operator, teachers and volunteers. The study-tour organizer was the University of Eastern Finland in Joensuu.

The tour programme included visits to the Kontiosuo Waste centre Itä-Suomen koulu (ISK), the Timanttikylät village house, Jätekukko Oy, the regional operating communal waste management company, and the Koli National Park. The discussion of the project activities in the village of Mekrijärvi and the results of the public opinion poll in the «Wasteless Karelias» pilot villages were held at the University of Eastern Finland.

We consider the experience of joint CBC «Karelia» projects work to be productive and useful. Looking forward to furthering fruitful SUPER and «Wasteless Karelias» projects cooperation!
