Treasure Island adventure in Utra

Treasure Island Adventure event was held in Utra, Joensuu on May 11 2019.

The event provided pirate-themed program for children and their families. The program consisted of different kind of learning supporting workshops. Treasure Island is organized by Joensuu areas special learners association (JOSE ry). North Karelian Museum’s InterActive History project was also participating this event and offered information about Utra district’s history for the visitors. There were 1180 visitors in the Treasure Island Adventure this year. Joensuu areas special learners association’s goal is to raise awareness about learning disabilities and it offers support, counselling and courses for people with learning disabilities and their families.
