Priorities and specific objectives selected for the next programme

The Programming Committee selected the priorities and specific objectives for the Karelia cross-border cooperation 2021-2027 programme.

The specific objectives for the Competitive Regional Economy priority shall be Research and Innovations and Growth and Competitiveness of SMEs.

For the Environment priority four specific objectives were selected: Circular economy, Water management, Biodiversity and protection and preservation of nature, and Energy efficiency and reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.

In addition Culture, Tourism and People-to-people cooperation are included to the programme priorities.

The Programme Document is now being  drafted further and public hearing will be organised during September and October.
