Online meeting of the project team of the Karelian Institute for educational development with the leaders of the pilot sites of the project "New horizons of culture"

On 19 may there was an online meeting of the project team of the Karelian Institute for educational development with the leaders of the pilot sites of the project "New horizons of culture" - by Olga Anatolyevna Fedorova, Director GBOU EC "boarding School 23", and Marina Nikolayevna Kuzmina, Director GBOU EC "boarding School 24". Colleagues shared their new proposals that will complement the joint action plan for organizing work with children with special educational needs.

Olga Anatolyevna said that she plans to involve two teachers who develop inclusive practices for working with special children in the project.

Marina Nikolaevna suggested that the plan should include modern technologies for creative development of children, interesting additional General education programs, and suggested adjusting the timing of events with children for November, so that students go through the stage of adaptation to the new school period.

Elena Bogdanova, the project Manager, thanked her colleagues for their joint work on forming programs, adjusting joint action plans, and concluding cooperation agreements.

Irina Zabrodina, the head of the organization of training, informed about the timing of programs for teachers and parents and the events for June – October.

During this period, training seminars, webinars, and master classes are planned for parents of children studying in boarding schools 21, 23, and 24. the project Team provides 4 educational periods( sessions )for all target groups.

In June 2021, an inclusive summer camp will be organized for children with special educational needs, parents and teachers, and a Festival of inclusive practices will be held in the fall.

The project team hopes that by the summer of 2021, the restrictions that the entire world faced during the pandemic will be lifted. And our Festival will be a worthy final stage of the project «New horizons of culture».
