Students on Kizhi island

From 24 to 30 of May, 2021 the students group from the Petrozavodsk State Univercity (9 persons) took part in the training programme on Kizhi Island. The programme included lectures and practical training on restoration of the Church of the Transfiguration, restoration of elements of wooden architecture, measurements, monitoring and preventive maintenance of wooden monuments.

Mostly the programme consisted of practical trainings, where students gained carpenters’ skills and worked with carpenters’ tools.
