The forest type systems of Finland and Russia were compared in a study conducted as part of the ECODIVE project and published recently in Applied Vegetation Science.  The study showed that the types depicted by the systems have many similarities, ranging from productivity to biodiversity. This information can be used in international cooperation in environmental and forest sciences.
